FiddsGives, a local 501c3 nonprofit partners with Fiddlers Green Irish Pub in Winter Park, Florida to annually host the Fiddlers Green 5k. To maximize impact, FiddsGives donates 100% of proceeds from the race to support two local nonprofit organizations– the Conductive Education Center of Orlando (CECO) and Habitat for Humanity of Winter Park- Maitland.

Habitat For Humanity of Winter Park-Maitland

Habitat for Humanity of Winter Park-Maitland, Inc. is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization that is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing homes and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity believes that everyone should have access to safe, decent, affordable housing. Habitat for Humanity of Winter Park-Maitland seeks to be a partner and catalyst in building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. The program allows those in need of housing to receive an affordable home, through the help of volunteers and donations. Families that have benefited from the program also become “partner families”, volunteering and aiding in the construction of more homes. Each of their partner families make a down payment, make monthly mortgage payments and invest hundreds of hours of their own labor – sweat equity – into building their house and the houses of others.

CECO (Conductive Education Center of Orlando)

CECO’s mission is to transform the lives of children and adults with neurological motor disabilities, like Cerebral Palsy and Spina Bifida, to empower them to achieve their greatest level of independence through conductive education; incorporating physical, cognitive, and social skills to maximize impact. Through the conductive education modality, CECO assists each participant and their family on their journey to tap into the child’s full potential and encourage happiness and lifelong health. The program is a holistic approach, covering not only education and school, but also social skills, as well as physical therapies. CECO is unique in that it maintains a one-to-one student-teacher ratio, allowing for the child’s care and program to be customized to fit his or her specific needs.
